eta: OH! For everyone wondering about Captain Pretty returning to Primeval, he's been confirmed as coming back (there are other CASTING SPOILERS in that article so don't read if you want the new series' to be a complete surprise)
I am less than pleased with the news of new characters though. There's only thirteen episodes; I don't want to spend half of them getting used to new people. Grr. I'm quite happy with the crazy scientists, ex-policemen, soldiers and kick-ass girls we've already got, thanks.
