There... there is some insanity going on in fandom or really more on general LJ right now. Fandom Wank is a good place to start and there are various other people are tracking various things to do with it.
I just... the levels of crazy are enough to leave me staring blankly at the screen right now. I'm not even associated with the comms or interests that are getting targeted and I'm still sitting here rethinking the decision not to flock everything. Not to mention the deleting-all-interests approach some people are taking, which sucks because I've found friends through interest searches. Back when tennis slash was taking off, watching the number of people listing it as an interest go up every day gave me a fuzzy warm feeling. I find comms through interest searches; my recent Pegg/Hot Fuzz craze would've floundered without them. So no, I kinda don't want to remove all my interests when there's nothing wrong with them and they work perfectly well for how they're intended - to find other people who're equally fannish over movies and actors and fic.
I hate feeling paranoid when I don't think I've done anything to deserve it. Going back to Heroes (four episodes just tonight and starting the fifth, because it's too fantastic to stop) and keeping a wary eye on f_w and LJ. Seriously. What is up with the interweb overloading on the crazy lately?
